FORMULA SHEET Functions Reference The nine parent functions, their transformations, function operations, composition, inverses, and piecewise evaluation — every domain and range you need. Evaluate the inner function g(x) first. Substitute that result into the outer function f . Identify which condition the input x satisfies. Use the corresponding expression for that interval. Substitute x into that expression and simplify.
