Valid Arguments

Discrete Math · Axiom Academy

Learn the fundamental rules of inference that allow us to construct logically valid arguments and draw correct conclusions from premises. Beyond the three core rules, several other inference rules are essential for constructing complete arguments: Example: Either the meeting is at 2pm or 3pm. It's not at 2pm. So it's at 3pm. Example: It's Monday. Therefore, it's Monday or Tuesday. Example: The number is even and greater than 10. Therefore, the number is even. Example: I have a pen. I have paper. Therefore, I have a pen and paper.
