Here's what we learned: Dominant Strategy Equilibrium: When both players have a dominant strategy (Confess), the outcome is determined regardless of what the other player does. Nash Equilibrium: At (Confess, Confess), neither player can improve their payoff by unilaterally changing their strategy. This is a stable outcome. Pareto Inefficiency: The Nash equilibrium (5 years each) is worse for both players than mutual cooperation (1 year each), but individual incentives prevent cooperation.
