Condensing Logarithms

Pre-Calculus · Axiom Academy

Combine a sum or difference of logarithms into a single logarithm. Condensing = Expanding in Reverse Condense into a single logarithm: Nice work — you condensed five expressions back into a single logarithm by running the expansion rules backward. Coefficient → exponent: — clear coefficients with the power rule FIRST. Order: powers first, then products/quotients, combining into one log. Condensing is exactly expanding in reverse — the same three rules, read the other direction.
