Practice Test 2 — Detailed Solutions & Analysis Fully worked solutions to a representative, varied selection of Practice Test 2 — plus a review method that turns every miss into a point you'll never lose again. The score is the least useful number on the page. A practice test is worth far more as a diagnostic than as a grade — its job is to show you exactly which ideas aren't yet automatic, while there's still time to fix them. Work through your test with this loop: Re-solve every miss from scratch — before you read the explanation. Most "careless" errors are really a method you don't fully own. If you still can't get it cold, that's the gap to close. Find the moment it went wrong. Was it the setup, the algebra, a sign, or a misread of the question? Name it. "I dropped a negative" and "I didn't know the formula" need completely different fixes. Don't skip the ones you got right. If you guessed, or took the long way, or felt unsure, treat it like a miss — luck doesn't repeat on test day. Group your misses by topic, not by question number. Three Heart-of-Algebra slips point to one lesson to revisit; one geometry slip and one data slip point somewhere else. Re-attempt clean. A week later, redo the missed problems with no notes. If they're easy now, the gap is closed. Ten problems from Practice Test 2, chosen to span all four math domains and to favor the ones students most often get wrong. Each is solved start to finish.
