Putting Yourself in Their Shoes The core of strategic thinking: reasoning from the other person's perspective. You're about to play against someone. What should you choose? Once you see it, you'll notice strategic situations all around you. Decision-making where outcomes depend on the choices of multiple people, requiring you to anticipate and reason about others' actions. "Putting yourself in their shoes" - understanding that others are also rational decision-makers trying to anticipate your choices. Game theory provides mathematical tools to analyze strategic interactions systematically, helping us predict outcomes and find optimal strategies.
