INTRO Visualizing Probability Distributions See how bar charts reveal the patterns in random variables. Step 1: Creating a Probability Bar Chart Adjust the slider to see how changing probabilities affects the distribution of a die roll. Step 2: Exploring Different Shapes Click the buttons below to see different probability distributions and their characteristics. Step 3: Simulating Random Outcomes Click the button to roll a die 100 times and watch the distribution form! A bar chart showing P(X = x) for each possible value x. The height of each bar is the probability of that outcome. • All probabilities are between 0 and 1 • The sum of all probabilities equals 1 • Taller bars = more likely outcomes Visual distributions reveal patterns: symmetric or skewed shapes, where the center lies, and how spread out the probabilities are.
