Mean, Median, and Mode

Understanding measures of central tendency: how to compute them, when to use each, and what they tell us about data The mean is the arithmetic average of all values in a dataset. It's calculated by adding all values together and dividing by the number of values. The median is the middle value when data is arranged in order. If there's an even number of values, the median is the average of the two middle values. The mode is the value that appears most frequently in a dataset. A dataset can have no mode, one mode (unimodal), or multiple modes (bimodal or multimodal). 4. Comparing the Three Measures Each measure of central tendency has strengths and weaknesses.
